Christopher Bass rows to honor his dad

We are so inspired by Christopher Bass, a Brunswick School 6th grader, who is rowing with his mom, Kristen Erickson, in the Parent/Child race at this year’s Head of the Charles. The 2012 HOC regatta marks the 5th anniversary of his dad’s death from brain cancer. His dad, Jonathan Bass, was an avid rower so this is a particularly poignant and heartfelt tribute. The mother:son team will be wearing the orange of B*CURED and collecting donations for brain cancer research. Christopher will be the youngest and smallest oarsman out on the water but he is huge in spirit. Our hearts are with Christopher and we will think of Jonathan Bass on October 20th. You can support him with a donation.

Blake Stevens runs to honor his 2 grandmothers

Today, I am thinking about how great it is that Blake Stevens is running the NYC marathon for B*CURED for a second time! He lost both grandmothers to brain cancer. What an amazing tribute to them. Here is Blake at mile 10 last year. When you are doing an amazing feat for a good cause, you gotta smile about it! Thank you, Blake, for all you do for B*CURED! Give him some support.

Grants and Grant Funding

We are well into the process of reviewing this year’s Grant Applications. There is some awesome work being done on brain cancer which is fantastic! Now to get more funding to these amazing researchers! Please consider a donation to B*CURED to support this important work.

If you are into a sporting challenge, you can always to choose to support any and all of our great Team B*CURED athletes as they take on the ING NYC Marathon. All donation raised from the marathon go directly to fund brain cancer research.
